This 7-day boating route offers a memorable journey through the beautiful Saronic Islands and nearby coastal destinations, starting and ending in Athens. 

Each day features a unique island or port, allowing for both relaxation and exploration in the sparkling waters of the Aegean Sea.

 

Day 1: Athens to Aegina (17 NM)

Depart from the port of Athens in the afternoon and set sail for Aegina, known for its charming harbour, pistachio orchards, and the impressive Temple of Aphaia. 

This is a perfect place to anchor the first night on board either in a cove or in the bay of Agia Marina.

 

Day 2: Aegina to Hydra (26 nm)

Leave Aegina in the morning and cruise to Hydra, a picturesque island famous for its car-free streets and elegant stone mansions. 
Stroll along the waterfront, visit local art galleries, and watch the sunset from a cozy café. 
Worth visiting: High above Hydra´s harbour the Monastery of Profitis Ilias dates from 1813 and has an excellent view of the island. 
Along the Northwest coast you will find bays and coves for anchoring and swimming, Kamini the little fishing village, Molos, Bisti, Ag. Nikolaos.

 

 

Day 3: Hydra to Spetses (15 NM)

Set sail for Spetses, known for its vibrant nightlife and rich naval history. 
Its capital is a real architectural beauty full of two story neoclassical houses, and narrow stone-paved alleys. 
Explore the charming old port Balitza, rent a bicycle to tour the island, or relax on one of the beautiful beaches.

 

Day 4: Spetses to Ermione (18 NM)

Continue your journey to Ermioni, a pretty harbour town surrounded by pine forests and crystal-clear waters. 
Discover hidden coves for swimming, visit the local market, or enjoy a traditional Greek meal by the water.

 

Day 5: Ermioni to Poros (25 NM)

Sail to Poros, a lush island with pine-covered hills and a lively waterfront lined with shops and cafés. 
Consists of two smaller islands, connected by a bridge, Sferia, a small rocky island and Kalavria, a larger island with green hills and beautiful coastlines. 
Visit the clock tower for stunning views and take a swim in Love Bay or Russian Bay.

 

Day 6: Poros to aegina (21 NM)

On the Southern edge of the island lies the small fishing village of Perdika. 
This is one of the most picturesque spots on the island. 
Enjoy your first swim in the clear waters of the pebbled beach of Klima and savour fresh seafood at a seaside taverna.

Day 7: Aegina to Athens (18 NM)

On your final day, return to Athens, enjoying the last stretches of the Saronic Gulf. 
Reflect on your week of adventure, relaxation, and discovery among Greece’s enchanting islands and coastlines.
